Used for both strip lashes and eyelash extensions, they’re sold as a high-end option with a luxury price tag to match. They’re also often labelled as ‘cruelty free’, but is that truly possible with a fur-based product?

Not all false eyelashes are created equal. There are various fibers available to choose from, but how do you know which are the best? Synthetic lashes are the cheapest, but at a price - these coarse, shiny lashes have stubby ends and tend to look obviously fake, not to mention they can feel heavy and uncomfortable to wear. For more luxurious false eyelashes, everything from horsehair to human hair is an option, but silk and mink are by far the most common and popular types.
