Silk lashes are lightweight and durable but they have a plush and fuller look, so you can have themascaralook without the added weight.  Silk lashes are great for those that desire more volume and glamour.  Silk lashes are less fragile than other fibers such as mink and can be reused for multiple wears because of their durability. They will also hold their curl if they happen to come in contact with light water. So if you tear up at your best friend's wedding, have no fear, they will still look great. This doesn't mean you can go swimming with them on, however. Keeping your lashes dry are part of preserving their shape and look so you can ensure they can be worn again. Natural lashes such as those made with mink are softer and are ideal for a naturally bare look, meaning no mascara. Mink lashes are more delicate than silk lashes. Caring for silk lashes is also easier when it comes to glue removal.

Our lashes are made of 100% silk. We use only the best quality hair that is sanitized and sterilized.

Mademoiselle Lashes are individually handmade with a cotton band. With proper care and storage, your lashes can last up to 20 wears (based on average use). Be sure to retain the box and tray that your lashes arrive in to store your lashes and keep them looking their best. Please also make sure to review how to care for your lashes via our guide here.

We offer one standard size because they are meant to be fitted by our mademoiselles; and to her preference.  Only you can know how you want your lashes to fit.

Eyelash adhesive is NOT included in your purchase. However, we are working on offering lash glue separately.  We’ll have more details when it’s ready.

Practice makes perfect! Like anything you do in life, the more often you work at something, the easier it will be. On average, most users of false eyelashes can take less than 5 minutes to apply their lashes; this includes waiting for the glue to become tacky and for the lash to set once applied onto your natural lashes. So from start to finish, applying your Mademoiselle Lashes would take less than 5 minutes!

Always trim from the outer end of the lash and not the inner. Usually we recommend users cut just short of the natural length of the eye as this will provide an easier application and will prevent the band from poking the inner corner of your eyes. - Carefully remove first lash from the lash tray. We suggest you remove the adhesive if there is build up attached to the lashes.

- Fit your lashes to your eye by holding the lash to your eye and measure whether lash should be trimmed. Ideally you should use eyebrow scissors for better accuracy.

- Take edges of your lash and bend them in a U shape. This will make the lashes more flexible.

- Apply your favorite lash adhesive along lash band. Please follow glue instructions on how to apply.

- Curl your eyelashes

- Use tweezers, eyelash applicator or hands to place lashes as close to your natural lash line as possible, start from center, then inner, then outer side.

- Apply mascara (optional) and/or apply liner to fill in any gaps.

How To Apply False Lashes

How to Care for Your Lashes

You want your lashes to last, so be gentle when removing them. First, securely hold the lash at the base and, beginning at the outer corner, gently pull the lash towards the direction of your inner eye. Repeat this process with the other eye. Your false lashes should come off without much effort or discomfort.

If your lashes are still not coming off easily, try applying a small amount of non-oil based make up remover with a cotton swab.  Do not wipe across your entire lash line or eye with it.  Just dab the specific areas where your lashes won't release until you have softened the lash glue. Then you can remove them easily from the outside in.

Mademoiselle Lash products are made for multiple wears but how many uses you can get depends on how you care for your lashes…here are some tips and best practices to care for them:

- It’s recommended to remove glue buildup from the strip after 3 – 4 wears. Hold the lashes at the base & gently pull the glue with your fingers. Make sure to hold the base & lash hairs with the pads of your fingers to avoid individual lashes from being pulled off.  The glue should come off easily.

- To keep your lashes in shape we recommend you reuse our lash trays for storing.

Waterproof makeup removers or makeup removers with an oil base are the best way to remove excess lash adhesive from your eyelids.  You can do this after each wear to avoid build up.

Mademoiselle Lashes are handmade of 100% Silk so they can withstand getting a little wet compared to other lashes. But we’re not saying you can jump in the pool with them. Wet lashes can lose their curl and shape if they get too wet.  Be conscious of keeping them dry, but don’t freak out if you get caught in the rain before you grab your umbrella.  It’s OK, they will survive!

If you prefer to wear mascara, of course you can wear it.  Our lashes are multi-layered so they are designed to not require mascara. However, if you do choose to apply mascara, use it sparingly as the layers may stick together with product on them. Also be aware that this may shorten the life of your lashes, therefore reducing the number of wears you could get.

False lashes are meant to be applied just above your natural lash line, so as long as you apply them as recommended, your natural lashes will not be affected in any way. In fact, you may be doing your lashes a favor since you won't have to curl or use mascara on your natural lashes when wearing false lashes. That all depends on the selected shipping method.  We asked for 2-4 business days for processing but after that it just depends on the shipping.  Free Shipping is sent via USPS first class mail so can take 5 – 10 business days.

If in any way you don’t love your lashes we want, you to return them.  We will refund the amount for all unused and unopened merchandise from your order less shipping fees. Refund requests must be made within 30 days from the receipt of merchandise. If you wish to return your order you have two options to process your return: use our online return form or email us at info@mademoisellelash.com with the subject line “ORDER RETURN” and indicate your Order # in the contents of the message.  We will be sure to process your return as soon as possible.   Please remember returns are subject to inspection prior to return is given.  If lashes look worn we will offer an exchange rather than return.  For the hygiene purposes, any opened merchandise are disposed of and are not resold.
